 Different hat sizes are achieved by using different crochet hook sizes as follows.

 ❖Tulip (Japan) crochet hooks for size determination:

 Hook size 6 (1.4 mm) – head circumference 55 cm  [21.6 in] 
 Hook size 5 (1.5 mm) – head circumference 56 cm  [22 in]
 Hook size 4 (1.6 mm) – head circumference 57 cm  [22.5 in] 
 Hook size 3 (1.7 mm) – head circumference 58 cm  [22.8 in]
